The Barren Earth:

Upon seeing the barren earth,
Spoke he these words amongst the dearth,
___“Lord help this world,
_______Save it from itself,
___Save it while yet,
_______There is beauty left.”
Why must we scorch the land?
Ought we to burn it down?
We fools find not an inkling of
Nature’s splendor to be found.
